Nice one. The FROG Lysander is one I have never built so will be of greg interest for me.

All the best.

It was 8 but after a consultation on here JR reverted it back to the previous requirement of 6

I might stay with the baggied Storches, or sumat else. I'll decide when we start

Cheers Fred.
The Storch would be nice to see but it's your build thus your call. I may have a looksee for a cheap Airfix storch for myself though because I have three Academy ones I really don't need one.

All the best.

Question;
Does it have to be an aeroplane?

Cos, I just realised I have two-non aeroplane kits which really fit the GB

One I have here to hand;
Made by Pyro. Inside the kit is marked 1966. The box and instructions are marked 1967.
This one No.1 son bought for me as a Chrissy prezzie at Telford in '12

I last built one of these about 45 years ago. Me and my bestest friend built the whole set of kits between us. I still have one of them, up on my top most display shelf.
These are something that you very rarely see built or exhibited

I'm still on the fence as to what I want to do with the Catalina. Do I go Coastal Command? Or Black Cat? Or just a ubiquitous US Navy Patrol version. Times running out to decide. Any thoughts ...... I'm planning to got pretty much out of the box. I won't have time to scratch or rework the old girl. So I might as well concentrate on the finish. September is the busy time at work for me, we mount 5 shows in those 4 weeks. But I'll still bust out a decent effort here.

What have you got decals for? The old Airfix ones might be a bit dodgy for use

So far just the kit decals. That's why I need to decide what I want to do.

The subject matter can be anything at all. Aircraft. Tanks. Ships. Buildings. Dinosaurs. Figures (if anyone has the Airfix High Chaperal cowboy set and they paint them that will certainly upset a few collectors)
Greg. If you fancy making your Catalina into a flying boat instead of an amphibian I think I have a set of USCG markings you are welcome to have.

All the best.

Very kind of you to offer Greg. I think, and correct me if I'm mistaken, this will be a one month build. I'm assuming it is and trying to plan around my work schedule, honey do lists, and family time. AS we all are!

I'm thinking I'll just go for a simple paint scheme. While I do fancy the bold USCG scheme I just don't think I'll have time for the painting and masking involved.

I do appreciate your kind and generous offer.
