hi is anyone interested in marking the 75th anniversary of the North Africa Campaign 1940-may 1943 with a Group Build ,i would prefer the GB to happen whilst it coincides with the anniversary so that would mean getting it done by 13th may 2018 and it would allow anything that took part in the campaign from it's beginning to it's end and would like to include Mediterranean conveys and siege of Malta

Thanks Craig

This is a WWII theme I have a strong connection with. I've built quite a few German aircraft in this scheme and a few American aircraft. I'd love to build an early P-40 in British desert markings. A B-24 or B-25 in the desert pink color scheme is also in my stash pile.

If the timing works out with the other group builds I've committed to, you could count me in for sure!

hi it looks as if there is not a lot of interest in this idea and may  will struggle to get the participation numbers to get it going as a GB ,so i suggest making it a shared build instead and run it from start of Jan to mid May (end of conflict anniversary),anyone interested in this idea please say i will look to get it up and running

Hi, for some reason this has only just popped up on my GB menu, it would be a nice reason to build my Crusader tank (it's in brown and in the desert on the box front!!). If that counts!?.

It's interesting and I do have a few suitable kits in the stash but I'm not sure if I'll have the time for this one.

I have just seen this too, I don't trend to do Group builds, but I would be interested in this.

Yes, I would like to take part in this one. I don't do enough proper WW2 builds.

Pencil me in as well. I have a couple of ideas that would fit.

hi we now have 8 interested + 2 possibles so we have the option of a GB (8 weeks long but not sure where we could fit it in on the GB calendar ) or a Shared Build ( run from start of Jan for 4 or 5 months up to the end of the conflict anniversary ) i prefer the SB as i it allows time to do any other GB's that folk may have committed to and still to have time to do something for this build theme ,let me know what you prefer

With the formal GB calendar being so full, maybe a shared build is the way to go. That way it might get scheduled sooner and as shared builds usually run longer than GBs it will give everyone plenty of time to find a suitable model (or two or three) to build.

Interested, too. But, in 2018, my time for modelling will be a bit reduced, compared to 2017.....:-(
