Re: VTOL Group Build?
Should be good. I think the Italeri kit is the old Esci mould. Reckoned to be excellent.

Then I saw an Arctic scheme on here, and went fishing for a kit. I blame you all.
I've placed 3 pumpkin seeds in an old film container, and shaken it at the moon. I wonder if I should have chalked a circle on the ground and done an ape dance for insurance.
I bought an Italeri GR3, 1:72nd with all the AM fixings.

2.Very good/probably
3.Excellent!
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

Re: VTOL Group Build?
So are we starting soon?
I have been assuming we are restricting scope to things that actually flew - ie. no sci-fi, designs that didn't get built, whatifs, etc. but don't object personally if the group want those in.

Re: VTOL Group Build?
I'm ready to put this into the shared build section for a year.
As its a shared build which is a little less strict on rules whats everyone's thoughts on kits starting condition?

Re: VTOL Group Build?
If it's a shared build perhaps started condition wouldn't be too much of a problem. I might build another Harrier, unless Mav has had all the bitsMaverick231 wrote:I'm ready to put this into the shared build section for a year.

On the other hand I have some helicopters... is the Britten-Norman Islander a STOL aircraft??.

Re: VTOL Group Build?
Part started; its either 0 or anything; setting any % it will be hard to say 'that is 25% completed, that one is more'
What is '25% built' ?
No matter what % it will be too low for someone

Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Ok stuff it lets go with any condition, Haha yeah I've had a bit off you haven't I :D.
You may as well send me that spares box dedicated to Harriers haha!
On a serious note though Im not sure STOL fits into it mate.
Its aimed at things that basically go up and down haha!(pardon the pun)

Re: VTOL Group Build?
As a reminder:
-- SB are limited to fewer than 6 players.
-- Since SB are not GB, the 36-month between does not apply and it could be a Harrier SB.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Re: VTOL Group Build?
What happens if you start off with fewer than 6 but people want to join after it starts?Does it then become a GB?
If we make it a Harrier SB then it becomes a Harrier GB doesn't it then break the 36 month rule?
Also if we allow part started kits in the SB that becomes a GB, that's another rule broken.
Bit of a grey area

Re: VTOL Shared Build
Shall we put it as a VTOL SB for a year and just go from there?

Re: VTOL Shared Build
From what I have read people are open to anything so I think the best course of action would be a year long shared build.

Re: VTOL Shared Build
I think we are at this point.
It's a shared build starting now for a year. Subject is any VTOL vehicle including Harriers but probably not sci fi or whatifs ( not 100% sure about that constraint being agreed ). Started models allowed at Mav's discretion on case by case basis.
David (mulling choice of kit to build)

Re: VTOL Shared Build
Mulling choice of kit to build is definitely the hard part
