Another Group build suggestion

Re: Another Group build suggestion
I'd pass on a spit build, my Rhubarb build is a spit and it will be my 5th spit this year. Tired of them now.
Armor could be ok, but it depends on the subject matter.
Nobody but me wanted a rising sun build, oh well.

I was helpful (probably not...) and voted for four:
Century Series GB (Anything of the F-1xx series of aircraft) F-107 and or 103
Anti-Shipping GB (I think the name says it all) Tsetse Mossie
Close Air Support GB (A ground pounders Best Friend) Hs-123 or A-10K
Night Fighter GB (Anything with antennas or designed for night fighting) Ju-33G or Northrop N9M whiffer

1 The Spitfire is a National IconDirkpitt289 wrote:I won't argue with you on that point but I added it for two reasons.JamesPerrin wrote:Spitfire GBs should be banned. There are always enough people building the dam things to constitute a GB anyway.
1- Other than my Messer-Spit I've never done one and the kit I'm building is fantastic so i wouldn't mind doing another. I have another "Reverse Lend Lease" in mind for that.
2- Strictly to make all you Brits happy. Being around here for as long as I have I've noticed that a lot of you guys seem to have a thing for this aircraft (Old Tonto) . So I figured what the heck
2 The "Dam Things" are 617 Sqn Lancasters
3 You can never have too many Spitfires
4 It's a national icon
5 We ought to have a P51 GB at some point next year, as a reciprocal gesture
That said, the P40 is a very interesting aircraft too, so I'm happy with that.
Cheers

P51 is a good suggestion...........made by every kit manufacturer in every version going in a gazillion of schemes!

Seeing how these were all my suggestions I would vote for each and every one of them, but its early Chris. The poll hasn't been up fr 24 hours yet. Give it time it might change.Chris wrote:I'd pass on a spit build, my Rhubarb build is a spit and it will be my 5th spit this year. Tired of them now.

I'm doing a Zero for the Pearl Harbor build, so that's why I didn't vote for Rising Sun here. There's always 2012, 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway.Chris wrote:I'd pass on a spit build, my Rhubarb build is a spit and it will be my 5th spit this year. Tired of them now.

Quite fancy 'anti-shipping' - summat like a Mitchell or a Boston, with a nose full of guns

I put in one vote only, for Anti-Shipping.

Re: Another Group build suggestion
Looking at the current results
Anti-shipping is the most popular, with either Spitfire or P40 as the runner up.
Battle of Midway possible for 2012.
Since we have a Rhubarb GB already scheduled, that caters for Spitophiles
Should we focus on whether there is sufficient support for Antishipping GB this summer? August?
Cheers
