That's a great idea
Absolutely...I vote for a mid-2012 Midway GB...there's an easy dozen aircraft involved:

Wildcat
Buffalo
Vindicator
Avenger
Dauntless
Devastator
B-17
Catalina
Zero
Val
Kate
Jake
Pete
Emily
B-26

...+ a ship two for those bent that way...
Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...

Looking at the current results

Anti-shipping is the most popular, with either Spitfire or P40 as the runner up.
Battle of Midway possible for 2012.

Since we have a Rhubarb GB already scheduled, that caters for Spitophiles :)

Should we focus on whether there is sufficient support for Antishipping GB this summer? August?

Cheers

August would be good for anti-shipping, as CC SIG guys can get builds done for Telford.

I voted anti-shipping too as it would be a good overlap for the CC SIG Strike Wing idea.

WOW, as much as I liked the idea of Anti-Shipping I have to admit I'm surprised at its popularity. This is very cool

It is where you replicate the image of the boxart like James Perrins is doing here:

Looks like great fun.

Well there is a Box art Group Build for CBK members as it is the theme of our Scale Model World display this year in Telford. Any CBK member can join in as long as their build can make it to both days of the SMW show in November. Any one can become a CBK SIG member as long as they like Classic British Kits

There a how sub-forum all about it here: http://uamf.org.uk/viewforum.php?f=48;

The anti-shipping one could be fun, I have a TBF Avenger that wants to be built, as well as an SM 79 with torpedoes, both would be good for that.

Well ... I suppose my just-purchased Airfix F-104 will just have to wait in the stash for an opportune moment.

Anti-shipping is fine, though. I have my eye on an Airfix Avenger or Helldiver, or both. :)

Hold on to it bruce, a century series GB appeals to me big time, maybe i'll run one later this year after the rhubarb is done.

Nothing i would like more then an excuse to buy a voodoo or a 104 or even a supersabre!
