Choosing a Single Kit GB -- 3rd & Final Poll
Sorry, asleep at the switch or something.
Let's run a short poll, 5 days, to select the final subject from the three top vote getters in the 2nd Poll. All are Airfix 1/72 scale. I note we have at least 9 people interested in this GB.
Only those who are committing to the GB should respond.
As always, after your "vote", provide a post with your selection and any comments -- specifically suggestions for GB date, length, and if you are intererested in being the Leader ....

Re: Choosing a Single Kit GB -- 3rd & Final Poll
I chose the Hampden as a good subject, a nice kit, and one that is readily available again.
I'd be happy to mod a Hampden GB.

Hampden for me too, it continues the theme of WWII British twins we started some time ago. Preferably after Telford and a couple of months length. If after Telford, I'd have a go at leading the GB if nobody else wanted too.

Re: Choosing a Single Kit GB -- 3rd & Final Poll
All are attractive to me. I finally chose the Hampden, because I have a set of decals for a torpedo-carrying aircraft and had Coastal Command in mind.
The Anson is attractive due to its classic nature, working features and CC relevance.
The Bulldog is attractive, 'cos it's a trainer and it's small...and I've always fancied the Swedish splinter.
Regards,
Bruce

Hampden for me. I have both the Hampden and Anson but always wanted to build the Hampden.

Hampden for me. Like Merlin, I fancy a TB.1 in Coastal Command colours.
Top tip: never bid on 2 separate but concurrent auctions on e-bay at the same time on the premise that, "I definitely want to win one". You may win 'em both - hence why I have 2 of the new issue Airfix Hampden in the stash!

Re: Choosing a Single Kit GB -- 3rd & Final Poll
I went for the S.A. Bulldog, simply because I have one.
I have Hampdens, so that's not a problem -- just haven't found my reference folder yet ...
OK, Hampden it is .... now a date. I have had one suggestion (& a GBL volunteer): post-Telford, running a couple months (say until 31 Dec). Seems a bit far away and a bit long for a SKGB ....
Any thoughts before we mark this on the calendar ?

How about 5 weeks starting the weekend after Telford?

Well, as you know Brews, we don't normally allow any started models in GBs. What work has been done?

Re: Choosing a Single Kit GB -- 3rd & Final Poll
FWIW, I'd be keen to allow started kits in GBs, especially if there are pics of the build leading up to that point...shouldn't we be more interested in members posting pics of 'in theme' build than whether those builds actually occurred fully or partially in the build period...?
