T-55AD1 from SKIF (today produced by UM) is one of several variations on this basic Soviet tank (from '80). A few frames from green, soft and easy to damage plastic plus a small frame with photo etched parts, decals and an excellent gluing manual (in 4 languages) complemented the rest. In the box are
basic elements allowing always make a model version of the T-55A plus one or two additional frame with parts, so you can make subsequent versions.
It is worth to collect photographs of that type of tank, because differences between the versions produced in Russia, Poland, Czechoslovakia and the GDR were considerable, and the model is not always exactly it shows.
Barrel worth change to a metal (RB, Aber). The same is with steel towing ropes, handles the turret, and other easy to do extras.
The tank can be made with interior (engine, clutch, the interior of the turret), but that requires a lot of work and corrections, and then do not see anything.
But anyway T-55 SKIF is an excellent basis to do interesting model.

Is not good like Tamiya's T-55, but price is not bad, I think. ~50-60% less than Tamiya (in Poland).
