This is definitely not a beginners kit
Two things this kit isn't, Big or cheap. But what it is, is lovely mixture of plastic, resin and lots of brass.
You get the full kit in plastic, but only use a couple of parts like the engine cowling, wing spar's and undercarriage, you also get some very fine resin parts that includes the engine and two sets of formers to help bend parts like the wing leading edges and wheel spokes.
The rest of the kit is pe and includes every wing rib and even small parts like the air vents on the two guns. The only thing missing is decals.

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Holy moses...
That will take some building, but will undoubtedly be a stunner. Not one for the faint of heart!

Two things:
1. They could have given you a rectangle of thin PE and instructions to beat it into cowl shape.
2. Aren't you old enough to know better ?

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

It might be a trick. The model could have been commissioned by the Pleasant Meadows insane asylum.

Oh Lord, that's a lot of PE!
Once completed I wonder if you could cover it in tissue as you would a balsa model and still be able to see the internals?
