Airfix 1/72 Fokker E.II Eindecker **New Tool**

Post by iggie »

The latest new arrival chex iggie:
Airfix 1/72 Fokker E.II Eindecker

Two grey sprues in the now normal Airfix soft-ish and very slightly textured grey plastic, smaller sprue gates overall than some other new tools, and the detail is superb; look at the close up of the machine gun!! No need for PE on that :-D
The instructions are in the now normal pattern with colour highlights of certain parts, and good positive location pointers. There is also a rigging diagram and location positions are moulded into the components; all that is needed is to drill out the holes if using line or elastic type rigging 8-)
Decals are nicely printed but appear a little thicker than other recent offerings; new supplier perhaps...

Lovely lovely lovely. Sprue gates on the fragile bits look suitably small, too.
Is this your sanderling?.

Mouth-wateringly tempting. I can see the dogfight double box will be a definite purchase.

That Spandau is stunningly detailed for an injected part! I'll definitely be picking one of these up.
