This just arrived from Hannants today & I must say I am very impressed. The Aero L-29 Delfín (NATO reporting name: Maya) is a military jet trainer aircraft that became the standard jet trainer for the air forces of Warsaw Pact nations in the 1960s. It was Czechoslovakia's first locally designed and built jet aircraft.
The only other options to build an L-29 in this scale were the old KP kit and the Bilek version with vac form canopy. Both are very basic and not in the same league as this release.
Enough of my waffle, here are a few pics - apologies for the quality. First up some very comprehensive instructions.
Decals are provided for Ukraine (Aeroclub of Kharkiv, 2010. very funky!), Czechoslovakia, USSR, East Germany & Egypt. They look pretty nice and in register.
Detail parts look good and you should be able to tart up the pit real swanky like.
Panel lines are not too deep and should take a wash very well.
Canopy looks clear and you get a choice of open or close which is nice. The brass is for use if you want to show the wing flaps in the down position.
I am really looking forward to building this one soon.

Building this at the moment, very cleverly engineered though the tolerances are more than a bit tight

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing
