This is a quick look at the British Sherman II (El Alamein 1942) from Asuka, formerly Tasca.
The Tasca / Asuka Shermans have been described as the best and most accurate Sherman kits available.
The British Sherman II was the name given to the US M4A1 medium tank and this kit is based on the Tasca M4A1 kit, released the year previous (2007).

The parts all look clean and crisply moulded. Although the figures, (Both the original US tanker and the British commander), look a little soft.

This one cost me £47 from Amazon (Came from Japan)
They don't seem too readily available at the moment.

I missed that Tasca -> Asuka or is it just that Asuka repopped Tasca ?
Can't tell the players without a scorecard sometimes ...

I have the Tasca M4A1, kit #35-025. Other than different markings and a change in sprue color, the Asuka looks to be a re-pop.
It's a lovely kit, with the quality of both makers being very high.

Looks a nice kit and it doesn't have those separate track links and pins that make so much 1/35 armour a pain to build.

It seems Asuka took over the Tasca brand.

Awwww, that's what I like, so much better than rubber bands, ds, and all the other track stuff ....
