This is a quick look at the British Sherman II (El Alamein 1942) from Asuka, formerly Tasca.
The Tasca / Asuka Shermans have been described as the best and most accurate Sherman kits available.
The British Sherman II was the name given to the US M4A1 medium tank and this kit is based on the Tasca M4A1 kit, released the year previous (2007).
Instructions:
Sprues:
The parts all look clean and crisply moulded. Although the figures, (Both the original US tanker and the British commander), look a little soft.

Hmmmm that looks seriously good; what sort of money are they and where from?
Best wishes
Jim
If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

They don't seem too readily available at the moment.

I have the Tasca M4A1, kit #35-025. Other than different markings and a change in sprue color, the Asuka looks to be a re-pop.
It's a lovely kit, with the quality of both makers being very high.

Looks a nice kit and it doesn't have those separate track links and pins that make so much 1/35 armour a pain to build.

It seems Asuka took over the Tasca brand.jRatz wrote:I missed that Tasca -> Asuka or is it just that Asuka repopped Tasca ?

Awwww, that's what I like, so much better than rubber bands, ds, and all the other track stuff ....bobblelink wrote:Looks a nice kit and it doesn't have those separate track links and pins that make so much 1/35 armour a pain to build.
