As promised, herewith a brief in-box review of the above kit:

The kit is presented in the usual high gloss Bandai top opening box, and pretty well stuffed with plastic. Inside you will find;
5 sprues of grey plastic
1 sprue of mixed (well, two colours) plastic
1 sprue of white (the base)
1 small set of decals & stickers
A detailed instruction manual for the assembly and painting of the kit.

The sprues are all contained within sealed clear plastic bags. Detail on the parts looks to be up to the usual Bandai Star Wars standard; no flash apparent whatsoever and ejector pin marks are mostly on internal surfaces where they will not be seen. Replication of pipework/cabling is exquisite and is just crying out for some weathering washes to bring out the detail. The instructions are (mostly) in Japanese, but the illustrations are fairly self explanatory and should be simple to follow (They are in the X-Wing's case). The legs can be built so that they flex at the 'knees' and various poses can be achieved with this flexibility, including the classic on it's knees pose from the film. Once built, I would guess thjat the beast will stand about 120mm high or thereabouts, and will look stunning in a display cabinet. The included base represents a snow covered rocky landscape, but is not much larger than the AT-AT so don't be planning to use it to recreate the film sequences!

Overall, another winner from Bandai; it can be built as a snap-together out of the box, and if desired not even painted. It will still look good. With painting and weathering, and perhaps some added pipework/cabling in contrasting colours just for a splash of colour, I am certain it will look fantastic.

Another splendid looking kit. Are all these palm top series 1/144th scale?

This one isn't one of the 'palm-sized' kits, but it is 1/144....

Not all the 'palm kits are 1/144 apparently but as there is no scale given on their boxes its difficult to know for certain :???:
