Platz EE Lightning F6 1/144

Post by Gregers »

Those of you who know me will probably be aware that braille scale is not my usual thing. Except airliners of course. I was given this courtesy my employers of Tiger Hobbies LTD. as a review sample http://www.tigerhobbies.co.uk; as they have started to aquire some of this range. So review time. Firstly you get two complete models in the box and thre choices of markings. An all silver 74sqn aircraft. A green and silver 92 sqn RAF Germany aircraft and a camouflaged 11sqn one from RAF Binbrook. Overwing tanks are provided and with each Lightning you get two each of the refueling probe and pitot tube. These are very finely molded so a spare may be useful in case of breakages. The parts look finely molded with fine engraved panel lines. The interior consists of cockpit floor, instrument panel and a basic bang seat. In this scale and considering the interior is all black this seems adequate. The only thing I would have added were I on the production team would have been decals for the yellow striping on the canopy as in this scale it will be almost impossible to paint. All in all though a fine product and one I am looking forward to building.

All the best.

Greg

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.

It's not the tiny parts, it's the even tinier decals :)
