Airfix Curtiss Hawk H-81A-2 P-40

Got this kit, too. I have no doubt it will not be fussy to build. But the panel lines look heavvvy, I think I would use a lot of primer to conceal that, or maybe I take to the hairy stick?

Or you could post in an aviation thread. I decide to do an in - box review and post my build in workbench for my p-40.

The P-40s TBD collide with my P-51 thats sitting on the workbench right now. ...which will I choose?

What does (TBD) mean?

I guess the one with most improvement?

*You have to careful of the guns bending or breaking* since this kit is molded to the wings and not add after....

US Navy designation
TB = Torpedo Bomber D = Douglas
The TBD Devastator was a pre-war US Navy Torpedo Bomber, slaughtered at Coral Sea and Midway with the replacement TBF Avenger already on the way.

Oh, I meant: T-o B-e D-one. I hadn´t thought about the Devastator....
This abbreviation can lead to misunderstandings, pretty easily
Anyway, I go on with my Mustangs, the P-40s can wait a little more

The picture you have shown is of a SB2U Vindicator not a Dauntless.

Back to the original question - the Dauntless is a different aircraft, a SB = Scout (& dive) Bomber, D = Douglas.
Both the Dauntless and the Devastator were at Midway (the real thing).
The movie had period films of the Dauntless but I do not think any real Dauntless were featured.
I don't remember if the movie had period film of Devastators; I'm quite sure they had no real ones.
Others may know different.
