Good Box art:

Nice kit to practice my on skills (or lack of skills).

The Spitfire gained immortality during the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940. Its main role was to intercept and destroy the Luftwaffe's fighters whilst the Hurricanes of the RAF attacked the incoming bombers.

Scale 1:72
Skill 1
Flying Hours 1
Number of Parts 36
Dimensions (mm) L127 x W155
Age Suitability 8+

Look forward to seeing it. Are you doing S.O.B or will you use some after market or scratch building?

I am not experienced to do scratch or after market build.

I think Ron means Straight Out of the Box, Michael but it is not a widely used abbreviation. To avoid any confusion with a phrase that some U.S. modellers might find offensive I think the more common abbreviation "OOB" -Out Of the Box - might be preferable. The term is used to describe a model made from a kit without major modifications other than, say, new decals, antenna wire, rigging, or seat belts made from tape and modellers will often say something like "the model was built OOB".

As soon as I saw Ron had used "SOB" I thought maybe we've got to be careful here, we don't want to upset anybody! OOB is the most used term, Michael and the majority of modellers on here will know what you mean if you use it

Sorry Michael I should of said OOB ( out of box) instead of sob (straight out of box) Although some kits can be a SOB as in son o...............Well you know what that means  any way enjoy the build , I look forward to seeing it finished.

I know the feeling when it comes to scale, I find 1/72 to small because of my eye sight ! It's a pain getting old
I tend to stick to 1/48 or bigger but even then I struggle some times ;-) . Any way mate good building, look forward to seeing it.

Nice one mate! I agree with you about those little pots, they tend to be a bit sticky and thick to me. I do use the Airfix acrylics but I thin them a lot, I mainly use Mr Gunze , Tamiya, and Revell. Also for spraying I use Vallejo Model Color, and Vallejo Model Air.
