Hasegawa P-40 Egg Plane

Post by AndrewR »

Not eggs-actly a conventional model... :ha:

Minimal parts count, no interior and hardly any surface features. Perfect for practising with my new airbrush.

Will it build well? We shall soon find out. You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. :-D

An eggs-asperating question - Should it go in Aviation Modelling or What-iffery and Sci Fi. :?: Does it matter. :?:
How many bad yokes jokes per posting can I cram in. :?:

cheers

Andrew

Eggs-cellent! I think they do an F-15 Eggle Eagle too.

Actually I think suitable decals would be quite easy - anything 1/72 should fit.
It would be a shame to have to shell out for AM decals. :ha:

cheers

I eggspect (couldn't resist) Retrokit might add a cockpit, for this, to their output. They do quite a few already.

I was egg-stremely surprised to see resin AM for these kits. :-D

However, I will be doing this strictly OOC (Out Of Coop). 8-)

If Forum Structure permits, it could go into a new section - "Humour", where you would also put Rif Raf and his Spitsfire, Werner Moldy and his Messaschnitzel, Lucky Pierre and his Nieuport, The Red Baron's Funfdekker, the Hanging 10 Surfer that someone was working on, the Tom Daniels' vehicles such as the "''s'cool Bus" and other things that aren't models of real-life objects that aren't Whiffs, and are distinctly humorous.
I'll put it in What-iffery for the time being. :)

When you have cracked it, will you be an Eggspert on this type of build?

Do you have any more in your nest/stash?

Just a thought what would this look like as an egg plane  ?

or this one thats just eaten a Chipmunk or tiger moth

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

This is very eggciting. How much did you shell out for it?

It was $17. A bit eggs-pensive for a Series 1 sort of kit!
