Not really most Eric, the fuselage pod forward of the engine mounts was made of a Ply/balsa/ply sandwich similar to the Mosquito and Hornet but the rest was metal.

That one has been nicely restored for museum display. In real life, the day glo panels faded quite badly with patches turning almost yellow very quickly.

Having just built a Gnat in High speed silver/metal whatsit and day-glo orange, all I can say is just say no to day-glo!

Testors do a nice one but it is enamel but runs through an airbrush very well once thinned.

FS 29815 for fluro red which looks orange

and - FS 28913 which is fluro orange - red

The Vallejo Model Colour Fluorescent Orange will spray very well if diluted down with water and a drop of washing up liquid. That's what I used on my Skyray.
