This just arrived direct from Airfix & I thought I should share some images with you.
I am very impressed. Sorry fo rthe poor images, I am a bit rushed tonight.

Four sprues
I am no Harrier expert so I will leave the rivet counting to others but the panel lines look very nice indeed.
A nice pilot figure is provided too.
Canopy looks pretty good
My only critisism would be that the sprue attachments are a little thick so careful cutting will be required. Not much in the way of ordinance, just two rocket pods plus cannons. Other than that it looks lovely. Nice one Airfix.

Looks good to me - more restrained panel lines than earlier new Airfixes. There wouldn't be much choice of ordnance with these earlier Harriers - although a pair of 500lbers would have been nice!
Thanks for sharing, OT!

Is the front part of your canopy damaged?

No it is meant to be like that. It is part of the coaming in front of the windshield.

Yes its very crisp with a little windscreen wiper. Not sure my eyes can cope with that in this scale.jezbrook wrote:No it is meant to be like that. It is part of the coaming in front of the windshield.

It does look really lovely with some nice touches like different air intake pieces depending on in-flight, hovering or parked & airbrake options.
I will get cracking on this one as soon as I clear something off my bench.

That's been standard on new Airfix Harriers since their Sea Harrier releases.Old_Tonto wrote:It does look really lovely with some nice touches like different air intake pieces depending on in-flight, hovering or parked & airbrake options.
I'll be buying a few of these ... one day ... when they eventually make it down here. Rough estimate: May next year. :(
