Hello from Pegasus Models

Post by Colin at Freightdog »

Hi everyone, my name is Colin Strachan. I've been modelling since I was about ten and never really stopped, except for a few gaps here and there. For the last ten or so years I've run Freightdog Models, and about six years ago I took over Pegasus Models from Chris Gannon. Running the model business full time has left me very little time for modelling, but I'm hoping to change things a bit in 2015, as I have a loft full of old kits, mostly Airfix ones and I'm itching to build some!

I actually registered on the forum a couple of years ago, but never posted so I'd like to consider myself as a new member if that is OK. I'm a big fan of Classic Plastic in SAMI, and was chuffed to see Pegasus Models is now considered a classic brand!

I look forward to getting involved and enjoying some modelling at the same time.

Hi Colin, welcome (back) to the forum. It's good to have another classic plastic fan aboard. If you are not too busy, we can come and say hello at some of the shows where you are trading and some of us on here attend as the Classic British Kits SIG (and the Airfix Modelling SIG, and Coastal Command SIG, and the Cold War SIG, and...).

Cheers
Al.

FYI Colin has leapt in with both feet and already signed up to CBK SIG, something to do with a Pegasus FJ-1 Fury I think ;-)

Thanks for your kind words guys, you might not be so enthusiastic when you see what my builds are like, I like to think 'm actually quite good at building them (as I test assemble kits with my resin sets on to check they fit OK), but when it comes to actually painting something it has been a long while!

Will definitely pop over and say hello at Huddersfield and Cosford as I'm trading at both.
