Hello from the Valleys.

Post by tweedy1 »

Hi Guys, I'm John from the South Wales Valleys. Ok lets have the comments from all the English members!!!
Seems that like a lot of others on here I spent a lot of time and pocket money as a youngester modelling but grown up things like work, kids and the like got in the way. I started back up a few weeks ago with the Airfix dogfight double Hurricane Mkllb/Junkers Ju-88 kit. I don't think it came out too bad, but I'd like to take it the next level with detail, weathering etc. As you might of guessed I prefer WWll aircraft plus vehicles. So if you know of any good posts to start me in the right direction let me know, I think it'll take me forever to read every post!! Look forward to pick your brains.
John.

Hi John, Welcome aboard !

You might avail yourself of the search function, you'll get lots of hits for Hurricanes and some Ju-88s. I cannot remember anyone building that particular dogfight-double, so we'd be happy to see some pictures of your result ...

Hi John and welcome aboard - looking forward to seeing your dogfight double so please post some pictures. The Aviation and Workbench window sections are always good places to start if you're trying to pick up new idea etc. The tips section is also good - the best thing to do is get involved.

And no Welsh jokes from me, my wifes family are all from that part of the world (via Gosport) and it'd be more than my lifes worth :-D

Cheers

Stuart
