Dear All
After having posted a Hello over a year ago, and since been pretty inactive, I thought a second Hello would make sense after I posted lately a note about an update of my homepage "Ludwig's Modeler's Library" in the references forum. http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=10728
So what's about me? Being in my early 50s and living in Switzerland, I was infected with the modeling virus by my father already in an early age. Started to build by myself probably around 10 (don't recall anymore ), I made a lot of models but most of them didn't survive.
--> Engine of an Airfix H.P. 0/400 1-72 from the early 70s, build by my dad (not much left ...)
Later then other interests - like e.g. Girls - took my time, so that I started again a little when doing my studies to free my mind with other tasks.
Over the years it was an up and down. Some times more, some times less I built. But in the last years the general interest on modeling increased again, even if I still lack the time (also because of my homepage and the content that needs a lot of time) for build all the models I have gathered over the last years. A problem most modelers are dealing with, as I have experienced.
So this is a part of what's waiting to be built ... once ... one day ...
But what have I built over the years? Well, there is a lot.
The latest model is a P-38J by Revell USA in 1:48. Pretty nice model for the age. The stamp on the model is saying 1964.
A very old version of an Arifix 1:76 DUKW with an incredible amount a paint.
And here some in an overview:
Me-163 from Testor in 1:48
Spitfire "Johnny Johnson", Airfix 1:72
Phantom II 'Nam Raider', ESCI 1:48
Corsair II, Italeri 1:48
Hawk, Arifix 1:72
Corsair II, Matchbox 1:72 (old build)
Viggen, Hasegawa 1:72
Harrier, Airfix 1:48
YB-49, ERTL 1:72 (hanging at wall)
So this is a small part of all the stuff I already made I'm looking for new places to put it after finishing. Always new shelfs etc.
Have a great time all together.
Cheers
Ludwig

Re: Hello again
Welcome back Ludwig, I'm glad you found us again. That is a enviable looking stash of kits you have there, and a superb collection of built ones. It looks like we have similar tastes as I have many of the kits you have posted pictures of.
Cheers
Al.

Re: Hello again
Welcome aboard, Ludwig! Where in Switzerland are you? I visited the Zurich area a couple of years ago, as my wife has relatives there.
