Hi All,
My name is James, some of you might know me from the Britmodeller forum as James G. I build mainly Soviet jets in 1/72, and US Navy carrier aircraft in 1/72 (and occasionally 1/48). I also have some 1/72 Swedish jets stashed away somewhere!
I have tried all sorts of modelling in the past, aircraft, ships, figures and little bit of armour/dioramas (even a couple of cars..). My proudest build to date is the 1/32 Tornado GR4 (converted from the Revell ECR kit). I really like the scenic aspect of dioramas and always try to place my aircraft builds in some kind of context.
Away from the modelling bench I like football, both playing and watching. I am a supporter of Nottingham Forest and also follow Shrewsbury Town. I play badminton, and go mountain biking and hillwalking when weather allows.
My wife and I just moved to Sheffield with my new job. I plan on setting up a hobby room when we move to a permanent home (renting at the moment). I'm hoping to attend the Sheffield/Rotherham IPMS meetings when I can.
Looking forward to meeting the good members of the UAMF!

Re: Hi
Hi James and Welcome to UAMF.
Looking forward to seeing your builds. I too like USN aircraft and currently have an FJ-4B Fury on the bench - I love all that High-Viz!
And Soviet stuff too - check out the Cold war SIG boards at the bottom end of the forums...

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing
