Hi from Jockland.
Hi from Jockland.
Started making kits again two years ago after a 48 yrs break, we had to get some work done in the home so I've not done anything recently but going to rectify this soon with a 1/24 FW190A, unfortunately the decals are all split and I've been unable to source a set the same so decided to do a "What if build" I can't see any photos of a Focke Wulf in Finnish Air Force colours so I got a set of Techmod decals for the ME 109G and I'll use these, ordered the paint as well and just waiting on it arriving.
It's better than the kit going in the bin and should give me some much needed practise.
Ally.

Re: Hi from Jockland.
Hi Ally, welcome to UAMF
If the 190 is the Airfix one, be prepared for one or two fit issues from what I have read online. Although I have it in my stash, it may be staying there for a while yet!
On the other hand, I've built kits with no drama at all that have been slagged left, right and centre on the interweb, so who knows really!
We will look forward to seeing your progress when you get started, and hearing what you think of other's builds too

Re: Hi from Jockland.
Looking forward to seeing that FW190. I too have one in the stash. If my decals were fried would probably do it as a captured RAF bird but a Finnish one sounds cool.
All the best.

Thanks Jim and Greg, yes it is Airfix A 16001, if you both have the same check the decals, hope there better than mine are.

Welcome aboard Ally. Enjoy your stay. I have that kit and built the engine as a static display.

Welcome to the UAMF Ally. I'm looking forward to seeing the Fw.190. I love a good WHIF and I also like Finnish schemes - I've also bought some Techmod decals but in 1/32 to allow me to do the old Matchbox Lysander in the Finnish colours.
Cheers
Al.
