Greetings all, my name is Myles & ive been back into modelling for 2years now & although its tricky finding the time for my hobby
i`m loving it. I tend to stick to 1:72 WW2 aircraft & the new Bandai Star Wars kits (although if Revell are reading this...)

Welcome Myles!
I have just acquired some of the Bandai 1/72 Star Wars kits and they are excellent quality mouldings! Really looking forward to starting one soon
Best wishes

Hi Myles, welcome aboard. Despite being a big fan of star wars I've rarely built the kits of anything from it. The talk about these Bandai kits may change that!.

Hi guys, I've been away from the forum for the better part of 2015 and a lot of new people have joined since then so I figured why not (re)introduce myself to those new members.

My name is Dirk Pitt (yes like the character from the Clive Cussler novels) I started here at UAMF back when they still had the OLD forum and was quick to jump here when this one was formed. When I restarted the hobby 7 years ago I did almost strictly aircraft. My stash is filled with tons and tons of aircraft kits that I will never build even if I was to strictly build aircraft. To compound this issue I've drifted away from aircraft to other things. I wouldn't pigeonhole myself to any one section of modeling. I now build lots of cars, scifi, and figures. I like to think I am willing to do it all.

Way back when in the olden days (haha) I use to post on all kinds of forums some of which were specific to certain subjects. Now I find myself more into making and posting videos to youtube. Other then youtube this is only one of two forums I try to post to regularly. That is attributed to the people here. They are fantastic in their knowledge and support. They also don't rule you the death.

So to all you new people here I look forward to seeing your builds and maybe join into a group build or two (I'm looking forward to the swept wing GB).

Till next time....

B - Strong

Welcome back Syd. I'm glad to hear you have more time now - wish I did! I'd like to see some of your motorcycle builds, my favourite subject after aircraft.

Cheers
Al.

G'day everyone, my name is Tim and I'm from Adelaide South Australia.
I work in the Aerospace industry as a Contracts Manager. I've joined the forum after being a spectator and have many interests including restorating my 160 year old home, photography, caravanning, reading, collecting 1/400 scale diecast commercial aircraft and building mostly military aircraft kits.
Current kits on the bench are the 1/48 RAAF Superbug and Growler with about 100+ in my stash which will serve me into my retirement years. cough yeah sure - last night bought the 1/32 Trumpy EA-18G Growler.

PS - anyone contemplating the Bandai Star Wars 1/72 range....they're great, I've just finished the T-65 X-Wing. Excellent quality for a "snap fit".
