A lurker no more!

Hello all

I'm from Liverpool and my name is Andy which I'm sure you would never have guessed from my username!
I've been a long time lurker here so I thought this was a good to time to register seeing as you have changed servers.

Hopefully you lot will motivate me to build some of the models in my way too large stash in the attic. Mostly 1/48 aircraft btw but not exclusivley.

I've got a few half finished projects that I might get out of the way first but I may change my mind on that...fickle is my middle name sometimes!

Anyway that'll do for now cos I'm crap at writing these introductory type things.

Don't call me Pops!! I'm not that old..well I like to think I'm not that old anyway.

Ta for the invite to the captured group build too...doubt I'll participate ... got to get the old modelling juices to even begin to flow first... one small step at a time methinks.

I've just noticed that my post was edited...are you not allowed to use the word c.r.a.p??("not very nice" was substituted for the offending aforementioned alluded to word) I can understand swear words etc but if thems the rules then thems the rules and I will abide by them.
Enquiring minds(ie mine) want to know! I don't wish to fall afoul of forum rules on my first post. Apologies if I offended anyone.

Hi Andy...the fun of Admin is working out what to replace certain words with. Interestingly, (no names mentioned), some get quite upset when it appears that they speak Enid Blyton, when they'd rather curse in front of the children.

Point is, we have to remain family-friendly and, whilst most sprogs curse worse than we do, many parents want reassurance that this site is good, clean fun.

I've got some alcoholic ginger beer does that count? Not lashings of the stuff unfortunately just the one bottle. I might just crack that open while I get to grips with actually getting on with some of this plastic bashing lark!
I do actually intend to get summat started sometime this week and perhaps even take a pic or two as well just to prove that I do have kits in the house!
