Hi from a new member.
My name is Chris and I live in West Sussex, England. I've recently returned to modelling after a longish gap of over 50 years when I was a field service engineer for a major scientific instrument company. Once I retired I found myself at a loose end with nothing to repair or service so I returned to modelling. I started with two Tamiya Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Mk.1 models. On the Internet I'd stumbled across someone who'd posted a series of pictures and text describing how they'd assembled their Mini Cooper and it fired my imagination to dig out the two, as yet unopened, Mini kits I'd had bought for me as presents a year or so beforehand.
My previous experience with modelling had been years previously with Airfix models of cars and aircraft that had, in those days, cost 2/- in old money (10p in current coinage) The ones I particularly remember assembling were the Stuka, the Lysander and a Mini.
The two current Minis I'm assembling are being done one in British Racing Green (as a club racer) and the second one is being done in the colours my actual road going Mini was - canary yellow with a matt black bonnet and a black roof. No bumpers or grille and number plates stuck straight onto the car body. Finished off with the then normal spotlight on the boot lid "To aid reversing officer".

Hello, Chris, and welcome to the fun house!
Would love to see pics of the Mini's you are building.
We recently had an Aero Themed Auto GB, and here's a link to Splash' exciting Mini Cooper build.

Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Hi Chris and welcome. You can also revisit those kits of the past as they are all still readily available

Hi, Chris, and welcome aboard to a fellow car modeller! If you like Minis, Revell has a treat in store for us this year with the Monte Carlo version of their excellent 1/24Mini Cooper kit!
Keep posting photos and progress as you go on...

Hello Chris, welcome to the forum. Dare I hazard a guess that you used to work for VG in East Grinstead? I'm looking forward to seeing those Minis.
Cheers
