Re-introduction

Post by Ernie »

Hello all,
It had been a fair while since I have been active here. New job, new shift, and life in general have conspired to not only keep me away from the forum, but also from productive modeling as well. I hope to get back to it as a way to relax from all the "real stuff". I am a slow builder to start, and upcoming work commitments will no doubt keep me that way, but at least I hope to be building.

I enjoy all types of modeling and kits, from building out of the box, to adding scratchbuilt details and aftermarket items. I also tend to spend a decent amount of time planning my builds to establish goals I would like to achieve with a build as well as determine what additions will be added and acquiring those items. As I work within a tight hobby budget, I like to try to gather all the supplies I will need before starting a project in hopes of not having the build stalled for lack of materials. I also try to enjoy the process of the build, from the research, to finding the kit, to the build itself with all that entails, to the painting and finishing.
I guess that is about all, it is nice to be back!

Hi Jeff,
Not quite as bad as yours, but still pretty brutal; lots of cold and snow; and winter just doesn't want to let go...had a nasty 4" of wet snow overnight Wednesday night. Looks like possibly a decent storm coming this week as well  Enough already!
