Hughes OH-6A Restoration

Post by coptermech »

Been almost a year since I've posted anything in the forum. Lots of real life issues.

This is the latest restoration project we have going on. Its a Vietnam combat vet OH-6A we just received last year. It was in country from 67-71, shot down twice, recovered and rebuilt. She went on to fly with the Silver Eagles in the early 70's before going to various National Guard units in New York. She then went on to serve with the Westchester County Police Department from the 80's up until it was donated to us last year.

Currently being brought back to its original paint scheme from 1967.

Good to see you back with us, Tony. What is the unit considered for the restoration?

It flew with 101st Airborne, 2nd Brigade call sign was Brandy. We have been fortunate enough to have input from a pilot who flew it. And by coincidence, one of our members received his 1st Purple Heart on this very aircraft, so it has a very special meaning to us.
