Vantaa Aviation Museum, Helsinki

Post by Spaceowl »

Here are a few photos from Finland's second aircraft museum at Helsink Airport, taken while I was on holiday over there a few weeks ago (Photographer: Paul Sandbrook)

Image
Mig-21Bis gate guardian. Colours are substantially faded from in-service times.

Image
Mig-21F-13, Gnat F.1, Magister

Image
First hall interior. Lots of interesting things and gliders.

Image
Polikarpov UT-4 trainer, rumoured to be the last one in existance (although there may be one at Monino - confirm, Novokits?)

Image
Two pictures of the Draken, me added for scale.
Overhead a rainbow appears...in black and white.

Current Projects:
Aircraft of VMA-542, USMC
Peru-Ecuador War 1995
THK 1939-2023
Polish Air Force 1939
