Held at Chino Airport here in southern California, Here are some of the more uncommon things that I saw.

Ryan Navion There are actually quite a few of these around, but they are seldom seen at air shows.

Canadair CL-215 one of two stopping off on the way to Minnesota.

P-51A Mustang

F-22 Raptor

Common enough in the UK I guess, but not often seen over here.

Taifun...also very rare on the U.S. This may be the only one, or at best, one of two.

Don't think there are many '108s in the US, flying or otherwise!

The FW190 is one of the Flug-Werke kit jobs. They look great and fill a gap in the absence of any real '190s (one flyer).

Thanks for the info Daren.

Not really advertised as 'Press Day' Paul. It used to be just the arrival day for the planes and the setup day for the vendors, Port-a-Potties, sound system etc. Otherwise, the airport was open for business as usual so there was no charge to get in. So, some people would come out just to watch the aircraft fly in, and usually, in the late afternoon, they would close the airspace so that the aerobatic performers could practice their routines....so.....free mini airshow. Over the years, more and more people showed up and now...although there were a tenth of the people that would be there on Saturday, and although airplanes were still arriving for the show (flight of three Seafurys, Lockheed P3 Orion, P-40, several more Mustangs, the Yak 9, et al.) many of the vendors and food/beverage stands were selling to the public before noon. So it has become a defacto 3 1/2 day show. I was there as the guest of one of the hanger owners so I don't know whether or not everybody else was still just walking in for free.
