Culdrose 2015 (part 1)

Post by Titan »

Lots to catch up on after my period of inactivity which I shall endeavour to do in the coming weeks.
During the summer I managed to get along to the Culdrose airday and what a day it was. Fantastic weather enhanced an already terrific line up of displaying aircraft (some sadly no longer with us), but for me there were just so many that I have not personally seen displaying before I just couldn't help feeling excited.
I also felt slightly apprehensive because I ditched my Pentax dslr set up and got a Nikon and new Tamron lens instead, which was only obtained the day before the show so only had a few hours to mess about with them.
I'll split the photos into two post as there are quite a lot of them and get the next one posted in the next couple of days.

Mostly jets in this first part, the second part will be all props and rotors.

Very nice indeed. Cudos due too, as you were with a new kit setup. Waiting patiently for rest.

Wow some astonishing shots and I'm looking on my piddle phone screen and will look again on the PC for sure. The Fulcrum head on is one of the most impressive aeroplane pics I've seen, heaven knows what you'll be like when you get to grips with your new kit.

Thanks for taking the time to look at them. There was a little I had to get to grips with on the day with the new equipment and the sun cause quite a lot of haze that I had to contend with but overall I was very pleased with my first outing with it and found I that could get away with a lot that my old equipment just would not have done ie lots of focus points, better continuous shooting, four times as many megapixels and no purple fringing to be seen on contrasting subjects.
