Fifi - the world's only flying B-29

Post by DavidWomby »

My grandson and I went to the Warbirds airshow at Valiant Air Command in Titusville today. Lots of flying classics including Tico Belle - a genuine D-Day participant C-47 that did a drop of 14 WW2 equipped paratroopers, 2 Mustangs, a Corsair, 3 Mitchells, Mig-17, Sabre, Skyhawk, F-16, an aerobatic Beechcraft 18 of all things, lots of Texans and various others but the star for me was Fifi - I didn't realize this was the only flying B-29 anywhere.

Sorry the quality isn't great - all I had was my small point and press camera.

Looks like a great day out and great to see a flying B29.....

Not jealous at all!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
Just thought I'd let you know that FIFI isn't the only airworthy B29 anymore.

All the best.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
