Sunderland Airshow 2016

Post by Sunray »

I went to the free Sunderland Airshow on the Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. So I had wind, sun and rain but what an airshow this year. I am working through my photo's now but here are a few I have done so far.

Wow! What an interesting diversity of flying stuff. Airshows are always a healthy, fun day.

Keep 'em coming Ian! Cracking shots and I love the Swordfish salute! (Although I'd prefer the pilot still had both hands on the stick if I was in his crew! )
Best wishes

Thanks Nigel. The team are called Aerosparx flying Grob 109's which are a german design. They are one of the teams that also fly at night firing flares.
Cheers

I think Nigel might have been referring to G-TWST & G-JINX which are Silence SA1100 Twisters; often described as latter day Spitfires for the elliptical wingform. I think they are from Belgium....
Best wishes

Thanks mate for keeping me right. I will have to put my glasses on when I read the airshow guide next time.
