RAF Sentinel R1 at RAF Coningsby

Post by billyb_imp »

RAF Sentinel R1 ZJ691 sat gleaming on the ASP at RAF Coningsby today. I dont know of any kits are available a quick search hasn't found any.

Formerly with Bombardier Aerospace, came to RAF 2003, converted from Global Express to Sentinel R1 around 2005 by Raytheon to RAF specification with airborne radar.

A start on my first kit a Hawker Hurricane as been made, a spitfire awaits in the wings and thinking about models to come.

Modelling space in shed coming along nicely.

Nice shot!

The engine nacelle ring looks very shiny! Bare Metal Foil I expect......
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing
