Re: What flew over your house today?
All I get round here is the offshore helicopters circling before they land
In my last house I did have the RAF using us for target practice on a regular basis (not with bombs obviously!) which was always fun. And I was once woken at three in the morning by them taking off to intercept a Russian plane, but nothing since. No, just helicopters that I don't even know the name of.

It reminds me of an Only Fools and Horses episode where they put a satellite dish on their balcony thinking it's a television receiver, when in actual fact its an airport satellite which is attracting planes right onto them

Had an Avanti fly over the house not long ago, flying at about 5.000 ft in the direction of Biggin Hill, sounded like a Harvard on steroids.

Actually saw an RAF Rescue SeaKing yesterday. Not unusual in its self but considering all I ever see over Huddersfield is few light a/c and the police chopper it was a bit of a surprise. I wonder what next year will bring.

Not exactly my house, but tootling down the M6 southbound with about 30 miles to go to Stafford at around 4pm today, there was XH558 cruising low and slow, heading east to west and trailing long plumes of jet exhaust behind her. Anyone know where she was headed?

Re: What flew over your house today?
The Fokker Four team flew over my city today. Not a surprise as it is exactly 100 years ago today that A. Fokker flew over our city. This started aviation in Holland. The team flew over the city to honour this moment in history.
When cycling home from work I heard the four Fokker S11 trainers come. I was lucky to have a pocket camera in my bag.

On the beach in Kefalonia yesterday. While I was swimming, 4x Phantoms and 2x CL-215's flew over pretty low.
The CL-215's landed at the local airport.

Re: What flew over your house today?
Whilst on holiday in Tunisia last week a UH-1 flew over on the first day. First "live" one i'd seen.
I had my camera with me all week after that and then on the last day:
