Two Lancasters together!

Post by bluesteel »

The RAF have just confirmed that the Canadian Heritage Lancaster will visit the UK in August this year and will be flying with the BBMF Lancaster. So probably the last chance ever to see two Lancs in the air together. Must be worth seeing

But I want to know where and when they will be flying together so I will know if I can get there and the sooner that information is released the better chance I will have (don't think I am alone in that ,though).

My best bet of them flying together is Duxford Airshow.

That's going to be fantastic. Duxford Airshow has to be a favourite for seeing them. I thought last year during the Dambuster remembrance events how great it would be to see them together, but I never expected it to happen.

It is a great weekend and I'm sure some of you may have been to it. I hope to be able to go this year as I have missed the last few due to being in hospital and I am looking forward to seeing this great pair in action together.
I must point out that I am not advertising the show even though the prices etc. are shown, but I could no edit it out. and I apologise if I have broken any of the rules. If I have and any body knows how to edit that bit out please do so.

I've got tickets for the East Kirkby gig. (They ought to have a tour T-shirt)

Have been following this thread on Fightercontrol.co.uk:

One guy speculates that 20,000 might turn up to see the Lancaster arrive on August 8th.
