Yes, very cool...great to see one of these 'lost'designs taking to the skies...and just in time for the Lone Star 1/32 kit as well...

But..."...it was so advanced it was feared that, if Hitler got hold of it, he could have changed the course of World War II by eliminating the Spitfire’s advantage over the Luftwaffe..." Where do they get these reporters from..?

Somehow, ol-what's-his-name telling Hitler(Goering?) to "Give me a squadron of Bugattis" just doesn't ring right ....

What an ignorantly written article.

I very much doubt that it ever have reached 400 mph - let alone 500 mph.

It should be relatively easy now using computer modelling to work out what its top speed would really have been.

Always remember the old saying- "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" it is truer than ever today.

I wonder if a Braille Scale version of this sleek little beast could be cribbed together from scratch (fuselage from a 48th scale drop tank, etc, all re-purposed parts)......

This month's Octane car mag has a good article on the recreation and history of the original.

Well it looks very stylish, but mechanically complex. If it's like some Italian cars then maintenance nightmare and unreliable...
