RAAF F111 walkaround - SA Aviation Musuem

Post by bilby1968 »

The yearly trip to the South Australian Aviation Museum and it was mainly to see their F111 which arrived a couple of weeks after my last trip so decided it was time to update the library.

Please enjoy and I hope they provide some helpful tips for people

One more of the main undercarriage

The aircraft has had both engines removed and one is not on display which is a bit strange considering that the F111 has been retired from the RAAF fleet

It looks to me that both engines are still installed? One of your shots shows the burner can and internals and an other the intake turbine.

To my eyes also it looks like it still has engines.
