Number 2:

The F-82 Twin Mustang's cowlings are a foot longer than those of P-51 D's due to its engines having an extra 'blower' on the back end. The Monogram kit's noses are a scale 1 foot short.

Number 3:

Without the front canards, the Eurofighter Typhoon would literally not fly.

The material was called Gordon Aerolite and was a resin-fabric material made by Ciba Geigy.

Is that true? There already was a Spitfire II so that would have been a silly designation.

Samuel Franklin Cody couldn't read or write.

it was a real suggestion, thankfully the idea didn't last very long- there can only be one Spitfire!

Haven't there been two Lightning IIs?

And, of course, the Corsair II should really have been the Corsair III.

The F-35 is officially named the "Lightning II".

And, of course, the A-10 is the "Thunderbolt II".
