Malta Aviation Museum

Post by beany »

Had a holiday in Malta at the end of May - the highlight was the small but very nicely presented Aviation Museum at Ta Qali - here is a sample of some of the many photos I took...

A.W. Seahawk FGA.2 WV826 painted to represent an FGA.6 of 804 Sqn from the Suez Canal period.

D.H. Vampire T.11 restored in the colours of a No.750 FAA Sqn T.22 aircraft

Under Restortation - a D.H. Sea Venom FAW.22 - XG691 - a nice little diorama idea for the Matchbox 1/32 Sea Venom???

Long term restoration, Swordfish HS491 (which never actually operated out of Malta) - there is a fully enclosed cockpit canopy for this aircraft at the rear.

Brilliant pictures, love the first meteor with the squiggle lines, and the models are amazing, especially love the Sunderland one, id say if you have any other pics to throw them up mate :)
