Indeed, Eric - rather pointless, eh?

Cool Fact: I recently learned that the Pilatus P-2 (the little trainer with the orange nose, above) used the main undercarriage of the Bf109G - when Switzerland's G's were scrapped, they saved lots of parts and many found their way into other designs.

The restoration of Bf109G-2 "Black 6" back in the 1980s used Pilatus P-2 undercarriage to help get it back in the air.

Also, it's the aircraft used in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I actually got to sit in one of them! :)
