Greek Phantom

Post by iggie »

Perhaps not in the best of condition (Don'tcha worry Skipper, couple of hours and we'll 'ave 'er good as new....) but thought this may be of interest for anyone modelling Greek Phantoms (for camo colours at least) or as a diorama idea.
The fuselage appears to have been shunted to one side of the runway at Santorini Airport, which also is a Greek Airforce station as well; the runway has a catch wire about two thirds from the southern (usual approach) end not far from where this hulk rests; perhaps it came in a little too fast and ended up Cat 5?

PS, if anyone asks, you didn't see them here! :-D
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing
