"Battle of Britain" movie fighters up for sale....

Post by DazDaMan »

http://www.platinumfighters.com/;

A Spitfire IX, five Hispano Ha1112M1L Buchons and the only -M4L two-seater built have all come up for sale in the USA.

All of them were used in the filming of Battle of Britain in 1968, with the Spitfire venturing to Spain to film some aerial sequences there.

There's also a Mustang up for grabs.

These aircraft have been stored for decades in the owner's hangar.

Connie Edwards is "the man".

Various Buchons emerged from his cache over the years and are still flying.
