RIAT 2014 Saturday

Post by iggie »

A few early rushes from Saturday; excellent display at RIAT as always, even without XH558 (Don't get me started on that topic! ) and the much heralded F35 Lightning IIs that were grounded in the States  .....plenty of action all day from 09:45 right through to 18:00 with a lot of the usual suspects and a few strangers. The weather was nigh on perfect as well, although the light faded a bit late afternoon with some high cloud, but far better than Waddington the previous week! :-D
Anyway, some shots to get started:

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Beautiful pictures. Can I right click save the Typhoon for a background pic?

Good work. I like the stripes on the Typhoon.

Great shots, shame the Vulcan missed out though.
Nice to see a Gripen too.

Thanks folks, I have to say that the weather made it easy to get a decent shot!
A few more that I have had a chance to process:
BBMF Hurricane: a late arrival as the aircraft went 'tech' at Conningsby and was doubtful to make it at all, then showed up without warning about half past six with a single flypast and break into the circuit for landing....but better late than not at all!

Lancaster PA474

I have more to process (about 1300  ) :-D :-D
