Yeovilton Airday 2014

Post by splash »

I have just spent a great day at my friends house, that backs onto the main runway at RNAS Yeovilton watching Air Day, the advantage of his house is the sun is behind us and the a/c fly overhead as they turn away from the crowd line.

The flying was quite poor this year but I managed to get some shots of the more interesting a/c.

Nice! I had to right-click/save that F/A-18 shot - I'll be making a model of one of those later in the year! ;-)

Good stuff for sure.

Nice shots! Love the Sea King flare release ones!
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Would not say that is a poor display as I cannot remember the last time a B25 flew in Australian skies. I have never seen a Hunter on display down here either but I am sure there are a couple living in Australia
