How do I go about doing this?
I know how to include pictures with my posts but can't see how to create an avatar. Any guidance would be welcome.
Setting up an Avatar
Re: Setting up an Avatar
Hi Eric.
At the top of the page inside the banner is User Control Panel. Click to open.
Next select Profile from the menu on the left side of the page.. Click to open.
Finally, in the Options area, select Edit Avatar. The menu opens to get you set up.
Good luck and I hope this helps. And in this case, size really does matter.

Re: Setting up an Avatar
The image I want to use rom my own computer is too big. Is there any way I can reduce it to make it workable?
Also, as an alternative, I have tried entering the address of an avatar I use on another site but it keeps saying the url is invalid.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Try downsizing it on you computer. 60x60 I think is the limit. Then upload it. I am a klutz so I save the picture to experiment. I am on PC and have good luck downsizing with Paint. Resize to 60x60 and it should fly. It took me a couple of times.

I'll have a go. I thought that was the issue but couldn't see how to resize the picture using my picture software.

The maximum dimensions are; width: 120 pixels, height: 120 pixels, and a max file size of 24.41 KiB. Mine, for example is 96x96.
You might want to re-edit to see if you can crop it closer to you and the car.
