Late email notification of a new post to a subscribed thread

Odd. I just got an email timed 25 hours after the posting was made on a thread I subscribe to.
Is this unusual?

Don't think so, but it could have gotten hung up somewhere - I'm not sure we get any notice of that and if we do that the admins can see it, probably comes in on the host somewhere.
