Which Image hosting Site is best for use on this Forum?
I want to post an image. Which is the best/easiest: Photbucket; Imageshack, Flickr, or ... please? Any traps like spam, pestering etc?

I have accounts with all three of those and have had no problems with any, though personally I prefer Photobucket for its organisational abilities and the ease of cutting/pasting multiple URLs at once.

I use Photobucket and have experienced very few problems (although the adverts can be a bit of a pain) and re-size the pictures prior to uploading to 800x600 using Irfanview, which is a free download - or at least it was this time last year. Both PB and Irfanview were recommended to me on here when I asked the same question
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

PB.
I find there's no need to resize when uploading to PB as PB does so automatically and gives a good picture size on here.

I should have explained that I use the earlier version of PB and was advised to re-size first as the general consensus of opinion was that PB's re-sizing tools weren't up to much. I must admit that I went with the advice given and didn't try PB's re-sizing tools as my experience of posting pictures when I first came on here was zero.

I use Picasaweb http://picasaweb.google.com Google's image sharing, not as full featured organisation wise as PB, you can't create sub folders, but I have a lot less trouble with it, and I like the fact you can upload an image in a large size, and then when sharing the link can pick the size the image will show as...
There is the Picasa application too, http://picasa.google.com/ which is an image manangement/organization tool. Runs on your machine and you can then upload to Picasaweb from it, it includes editing and resizing as well.
Though I use Ubuntu Linux and they have dropped support for Linux, but there is other tools available and included in Ubunutu Linux with the same kind of integration and web publishing ability.
Cheers

I switched to Photobucket from ImageShack, because of the Image Shack policy of blocking access to parts of the world (so Asoka couldn't see photos for example). No trouble with Photobucket. I resize before uploading, mostly to speed the upload process up.
