Forum running slow?
Is it just me or has the forum been running slow all day today?
I have had the same problem from work and at home so I don't thinks its just me.

My laptop at work seems slow on this site but at home it is full speed ahead.

It's been unreachable for me yesterday 4-6pm and this morning 9-1pm. DNS attack?

Like James, I could not access the site, now that I am in, it is painfully slow to get anywhere.

Same problem as Robin, and Old Tonto texted me today to say that he couldn't get onto the site at all.
So many models, so little time.
Re: Forum running slow?
I was unable to get on yesterday evening.
I can't see it being a denial of service attack, James. That sort of thing tends to be reserved for online shopping sites. Tesco.com gets hit regularly.

I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

I don't think we've been targeted by Anonymous but script kiddies will hit sites at random.
Anyway I think we've seen this behaviour before and it probably something only Flak can resolve

Re: Forum running slow?
Nothing unusual in the server logs so I suspect there could be issues locally with higher than usual network loading or maybe issues with the DNS servers run by your ISP - in the UK Virgin in particular have had historically poor DNS performance, partly due to inheriting the garbage the NTL/Telewest had in place. If you're a dab hand with Telnet, it's worth going into your home router and pointing it to OpenDNS rather than the DNS servers provided by your ISP.
